first of all, no it has nothing to do with Kontakt. It may be the particular patch with its reverb setting or something like that, I suppose.īut i can say the interface is more friendly than VSampler. This seems a little surprising based on my results, so I thought I would let you know what I found. Then that reverb seems to push it over the edge. Your system must be under a fairly heavy graphics load all the time with those two monitors set up as they are, and the GUI being up or down doesn't seem to help as much as with a single monitor setup. With the GUI and reverb on, it'll spike up to 99%.

With the GUI off and while playing lightly, the CPU meter shows something like 13% max with the reverb on, about 10% max with it off. For this same case, I removed the Origami LE reverb and indeed, the crackling completely stopped again with the GUI closed but I still had pretty bad crackling with the GUI open. Then with 96/24, I ran into severe cracking with the GUI up, and under these conditions, a little bit of crackling without the GUI. I then tried with 44.1/24 and obtained very similar results as for 48/24. Whenever the interface is closed, still no crackling. I tried removing the Origami LE reverb from a 48/24 project ("Acoustic Guitar Spanish & Origami LE" instrument), but that did not eliminate the crackling on my system - ASIO drivers, one display - with the plugin interface (GUI) maximized.
